Mold Maker

Job Description

  1. Construct new molds, prototypes, models and related tooling from engineering or part drawings.
  2. Maintain and modify existing molds and fixtures.
  3. Document hours worked on each specific job by posting on daily time sheet.
  4. Offer suggestions and ideas to help improve the efficiency and economic performance of tooling that is built and maintained at PCI.
  5. Help maintain a flow of ideas and a sharing of knowledge to increase the level of expertise in toolroom, including training of apprentices.
  6. Help maintain cleanliness and order that makes our toolroom stand out to level of quality that we put into molds and tooling we produce.
  7. Maintain shop equipment in first-class condition.
  8. Provide a safe working environment. Report to Toolroom Team Leader any unsafe conditions.
  9. Maintain harmonious relations with other PCI departments and employees.
  10. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by team leader.

Minimum Requirements For Employment

  1. A minimum high school diploma or GED.
  2. Work in a team environment.
  3. Demonstrate a strong mechanical ability.
  4. Have the ability to follow verbal or written instructions.
  5. Comply with all company policies.
  6. Follow all company standard operating procedures.
  7. Show good housekeeping and have safety conscious work habits.
  8. Be willing to undergo random drug testing.
  9. Minimum of 4-8 years experience or certified completion in the Tool & Die or Mold Maker field.
